Kami was just nagging me via email to post some more pictures. So who better to feature than the birthday girl!! We hope you had a good day and got some fun new stuff! Too bad I don't live closer in order to borrow your cute stuff! We love you and we'll see you in a few more weeks!
Yea, the picture is a few years old, but I thought it was a good one of her (not that she ever takes a bad one, duh) and, I wouldn't get any grief about posting it!! Plus ice cream eating is totally appropriate for a birthday!

Remember - Think Before You Speak!!
How could I be so stupid, twice!!! There's a new little girl in Luke's gymnastics class and she has 2 moms as well as an older sibling. A couple of weeks ago I was sitting in the bleachers and Caleb was playing in the drinking fountain when the older kid stood behind Caleb to wait for a drink. I said, "Caleb, you need to move now, he wants a drink." This boy says, "I'm a girl." Whoops!! I said, "Sorry." Now this girl was wearing forest green cargo pants (not the cute feminine type that some girls wear), Nike running shoes with not a speck of pink or even red, and a Red Sox windbreaker-type sweatshirt. Her hair was long for a boy, short for a girl (typically) and I thought, "I couldn't have been the first person to have made this mistake."
You'd think that something like this happening would have caused me to watch what was coming out of my mouth more carefully for at least, oh, I don't know...20 minutes!!! Not this time!! Not more than 10 minutes later this girl was sitting with her mom playing a game on a cell phone (not more than 2 feet away from us) and Caleb starts pointing to the cell phone. I say to Caleb, "yea, he's playing a game." Yea, heeee's, I said he's!!! This time I said nothing, bowed my head in shame, and hoped they didn't hear me or know I was referring to them. I'm hopeless!

Love Luvs
I love Luvs diapers!! Back when Luke was little I tried the generic band diapers one time in order to save a little money...that's all it took. I didn't feel like I was saving any money because I had to change them every few hours in order to keep his clothes dry. After that, I continued to buy Huggies at Costco. Out here in the outskirts of New York we have no Costco and we're even more broke than we were. Soooo, I suffered through Target brand diapers (which aren't as bad as Safeway brand diapers) until I re-discovered Luvs! I tried them a few years ago and wasn't so crazy about them, but they've made some changes (namely, making the bands stretchy in order to stay on better rather than slipping off their rear and sagging between their knees) and now I think they're great AND they cost less than Huggies or Pampers. 3 cheers for Luvs!!!
